BETH HERRIAN, LPC-S
Hi! I’m Beth.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor, so if you are seeking a supervisor please contact me. I received a M.A. degree from Texas Woman’s University. I am trauma-certified through the International Association of Trauma Professionals as well as EMDR-trained. I also offer Christian counseling. I have been married since 1984 and have one child.
I have been counseling since 1992 and have worked in a variety of settings. I meet a client where they are comfortable, which includes incorporating their spiritual beliefs if that is their desire. One of my greatest joys is helping people find healing, as hurt is replaced by joy. Whether the hurt was received from broken promises, depression, anxiety, violence, addiction, infertility, special needs, or childhood loss, there is a HOPE that restores.
In our sessions, I will use a multitude of evidence-based counseling approaches, including Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). During the course of your therapy, I will explore the relational patterns and interactions that impact you in both healthy and unhealthy ways.
My goal is to work alongside you to help you develop skills you can implement to cope with the challenges of life. I believe understanding why we repeat patterns and learning how to break these cycles leads to a fuller life and closer relationships. It is my experience that people find me to be a safe person to work with on their journey. It is important to me that my clients feel they are accepted and understood.
I believe broken people are often God’s greatest work of art; it’s a process.
